An OTP (One-Time Password) is a temporary security code used to verify your identity when performing certain online debit card transactions. It’s typically a 6-digit code that helps protect you against unauthorized use of your card.
You may be asked to enter an OTP when making an online purchase with your debit card.
How do I receive my OTP?
There are two ways to receive your OTP:
In-App OTP
The most secure and reliable way to get your OTP is directly through the BasedApp mobile app. Go to the Cash / Card tap and click on the button "OTP" to get your code securely.
SMS OTP
In some cases, you may receive your OTP via SMS to your registered phone number. However, SMS delivery is not supported in all countries.
Due to restrictions imposed by local mobile carriers, SMS delivery is not supported for users in certain countries, including but not limited to:
Philippines
United Arab Emirates (UAE)
These limitations are beyond BasedApp’s control, and we are unable to override or guarantee SMS delivery in affected regions. If you're located in one of these countries, you can still receive your OTP securely via the BasedApp mobile app.
