BasedApp card is denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and your card balance is stored as XSGD - a regulated stablecoin issued by StraitsX.
Congratulations on getting your BasedApp card! To get started, there are several quick and easy ways to fund your BasedApp card for easy spending.
Top up your BasedApp Card
Your card deposits are separated from your wallet. To start spending on your BasedApp card, you will have to "top-up" funds into the card. By topping up, the funds still stay on your wallet but they will be made available for card spending.
If you do not have funds in your wallet, you must first send crypto to your BasedApp wallet.
Go to the card tab on your home screen
Select Deposit
If you already have XSGD in your BasedApp wallet, simply key in how much you want to deposit and click Deposit.
If you do not have XSGD in your BasedApp wallet, you can select the "Swap and deposit" option where you can easily swap your existing assets into XSGD for deposit into the card. The swaps are done on a DEX (decentralized exchange), and reflects the current market price for the swap pair.
Success! You should see a confirmation modal in-app once the funds are deposited. At this point, you will be able to spend with your BasedApp card at any Visa compatible terminal!
