After activating your card, you can start to top up your virtual card with XSGD to spend! There are 3 ways to top up your BasedApp Virtual Card:
Top up with XSGD
Swap your crypto in your BasedApp Wallet and top up with XSGD
Bank Deposit (available for deposit from Singapore based banks)
BasedApp card is denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD), and your card balance is stored as XSGD - a regulated stablecoin issued by StraitsX. Learn more about XSGD here.
Top up with XSGD
If you have XSGD in your BasedApp wallet already, simply click deposit and you can start spending your XSGD 1:1 with SGD with the BasedApp card seamlessly!
To get XSGD, you can either deposit from StraitsX or use your favourite DEX to swap your crypto.
Top up with Crypto
Make sure you have crypto in your BasedApp Wallet.
Select the second option - Swap and deposit, and select the token that you want to swap and deposit into your card.
BasedApp takes the spot rate from decentralized exchanges (at no additional markup) for the conversion. Simply click swap and deposit and we will handle everything and ensure you get the best price for your token!
Bank Transfer
Click the third option - "Bank transfer".
(For first time users, please click on the "Create Virtual Bank Account" button, we will set up a unique account number for you to deposit funds into)
Go to your favourite bank app, and enter in the recipient details as shown on your screen. Your account number is unique to you. You can save the details as a favorite payee to facilitate easy transfers in the future.
You are done! You should receive an email upon your bank deposit and see your XSGD balance updated on the card within minutes.
