BasedApp users can login to their BasedApp account via Email and Phone Login on top of bringing their own EOA address. We utilise Magic.link for the creation of EOA addresses that are linked to your preferred social login method.
Being a non-custodial wallet service, BasedApp does not hold the keys to your wallet, hence, we recommend that all users that use email or phone login to export their private key and store them in a safe space. For more information on what is a private key - refer here.
Export Private Key
1. Login to BasedApp with your preferred social login method
2. Navigate to the top right hand corner - profile
3. Click "Export email private key" under your account owner
4. Click on Copy Key
5. Keep this copyed private key (KEEP THIS SAFE!) and import your key to your preferred wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet).
If all else fails, you can revert to our backup site, export.basedapp.io. to export your private key
